#UandMeAgainstDengue - An Initiative by Mortein NaturGard

What is Dengue?
Dengue (pronounced den' gee) is a mosquito-borne viral infection causing a severe flu-like illness and, sometimes causing a potentially lethal complication called severe dengue. The viruses are transmitted to humans by the bite of an infected mosquito (Aedes aegypti). The Aedes aegypti mosquito is the vector of dengue/DHF. It is estimated that there are over 400 million cases of Dengue worldwide now estimated to occur annually in over 100 endemic countries, putting almost half of the world’s population at risk*.

To get to the heart of the problem, Mortein has also taken the fight to educate school kids about Dengue. Mortein is undertaking activities in 160 schools and 120 RWAs across 6 cities in India.
Well, I was fortunate to be a part of the New Delhi event. It is an initiative to help educate you and me about Dengue and eradicate this problem, once and for all with little help from you and me. Dengue is back on the rise in India and we need to eradicate this deadly disease for good.

  • Mortein has also tied-up with Thyrocare to offer heavy discount for Dengue pre-hospitalisation.
  • All the on-ground activities are supported by digital platform on social media, interactive website, etc.

Here's a Glimpse of the New Delhi event which was supported by NDMC and AIIMS on 11th March, 2014
